Who could possibly believe that Dillish who represented Namibia in the just concluded BBA and emerged as 2013 winner with a whooping sum of money was actually from Kenya courtesy of her run away Kenyan father who had never bothered to claim his responsibilty when she was born?
She grew up never knowing her real identity or her roots.
*Big Brother Africa The Chase winner, Dillish Mathews hasn’t met her dad for well over a decade but she finally got to meet him after emerging winner of a mighty bounty of $300,000.00; his name is Abdi Guyo.
Dillish who has never met her dad and hence believed she was a Namibian, only got to know that her real father was a retired Kenyan military officer who got her mother pregnant during a peace keeping mission.
Immediately the man came up after she won the $300,000 prize money, many tongues wagged, calling him a gold digger.
It was only after her mother came out to state that Guyo was Dillish’ father that the whole brouhaha came to an end and she actually looked forward to meeting him. Dillish finally got in an emotional reunion with her birth father that brought tears into her eyes.
Honestly,if you happens to be a love child and your father abandoned you and your mum only to resurface years later cos good fortune had just suddenly smiled your way,what will be your reactions?
Does it mean that Dillish’s father would have still been in hiding if his daughter had not won so much money? If you ask me,I will tell you that its the money and sudden fame of his daughter that drew him out not love. What do you say?
