Photos:Doctors Protest At FMC Owerri Over Unpaid Wages

Doctors at Federal Medical Centre Owerri today protested over unpaid wages and said they will soon embark on indefinite strike. The doctors complained that the FMC management has formed a habit of not paying salaries and entitlements, and with so many deductions when they eventually pay.

Someone in the know said the residents haven’t been paid September 2013 salary. The house officers who worked for 3 months received payment for only two months with so many deductions. They say this is not fair considering the health hazards they are exposed to on a daily basis and the fact that they are always away from their families on call only to have their salaries cut in half. See more pics from the protest after the cut…

I can cure Dora Akunyili- Guru Maharaji

The Spiritual Leader of One Love Family, Guru Maharaj Ji has said he has the power to heal critically sick former NAFDAC Director General, Dora Akunyili who is currently in India where she’s receiving treatment.

The Self proclaimed Messiah of the world in a chat with City People said: “It is pretty sad that you all look down on me but I am telling you that I have the power to cure that woman (Dora Akunyili) of her medical problems. If they can bring her to me or allow me to see her, I would cure her of whatever is wrong with her and she would be okay.”

Dora Akunyili who got Nigerians worried after she stepped out at the on-going National Conference at Abuja in March looking like a shadow of her old self after she was reported to be suffering from an undisclosed ailment and was even hospitalized in the United States.

The ex-minister of Information who was rumoured to be dead after reports went viral that her sickness had worsened in May has denied the report as she thanked her Nigerians for their prayers and love and said God has healed.

Her husband, Dr Chike Akunyili who has been showing his support for his wife during this challenging time is also with her in India and has said Dora is responding well to treatment.

Guru Maharaj Ji has been in the news lately from revealing that he told President Jonathan who the Boko Haram sects are to saying Pastor Ajanaku’s death in August 2013 was as a result of the deceased not greeting him.

Happy 2014 Children’s Day Celebration From Gracious Grace Blog

A Beautiful Poem on Children’s’ Day
A child is blessed every day
A child is innocent
A child is beautiful gift of God
So never ever hate them for who they are or how they are

They want to fulfill their dreams and overcome hopes and fears.
So never ever Hit them or shove them around
Never ever kick them blossoming dreams to ground.

They want to remind the adults to dry their tears,
From hearts and minds, Spirits and souls,
They love each other with no strings,

So never ever trick them into living with so many pains.
never treat them like dirt and without respect,
never cheat them and abuse their innocence,
never stop them from being a hero tomorrow,
never crop out them talents for a petty win,
never hide them from the truth that you fear,

So pray that all of us hold
To one another’s hands and together sing.
They are our hope.
They are our future.
They are the ones who will change our fate.
They are everything but without our help,
They are the children, have no day to celebrate
Today in this land and all around the world,
I hold in my heart the hopes and wishes,
With hugs and love

To let them know that this is˜Children’s day.’
