UNILAG female students protest against randy male lecturers [PHOTOS]

The rate of sexual molestation by randy male lecturers in our higher institutions is taking a turn for the worst. I always wonder why a lecturer who probably has a beautiful wife and kids at home will stoop so low to demand for sex from a female student who should be old enough to his daughter or blood sister. No high Institution is exempted from this wicked act from our Nigerian lecturers. How do we curb out this evil excesses? What law should be put into place to penalise and punish offenders?

No wonder there was pandemonium on Tuesday morning at the prestigious University of Lagos, UNILAG, Akoka, Lagos following the protest of some Creative Arts students of the institution against sexual harassment and other allegations of misconduct by the university lecturers and other officials.

DailyPost gathered from a reliable source that the students in their hundreds stormed the Arts block with placards to register their grievances and later moved their protest to the Social Science Department.

It was gathered that lecturers in the Department have made life miserable for female students by making sex one of the major criteria for passing their examination.

However, male students who obviously cannot offer sexual favours to their lecturers are made to part with exorbitant sums of money in place of sex.

Management of UNILAG is yet to respond to the allegations as at the time of filing this report.

Let’s fight for the right of our students and children!!

  1. This is pure rape, because, consent was given, not based on equal parity of the two individuals, but, it based on the superiority of one against another.

Rape is inhuman, callous and dehumanizing, in Nigeria, there is law against rape, so students should charge them to court after the act.

The victim’s face will not be shown in the court, she will have some level of protection against the public for her privacy.
